Q. What if I would like to make a group reservation?

We consider a group to be a reservation of 6 rooms or more. For any group reservations, we request that you contact us directly or use the form that is spawned when you select 6+ rooms in the Check Availability function above.

Q. Can I use another party's authorized credit card to pay for my room?

Yes. However, our hotel will only recognize a credit card on which the authorized payeeâ€™s name is clearly present and visible, copy of the payeeâ€™s identification and a credit card authorization form is completed and faxed back to our property. You can contact us for the Credit Card Authorization Form and for further instructions if your reservation will have a third party payee.

Q. What are your hotel policies?

You can find our hotel policies on our Overview page where you will find our amenities details, check-in and check-out time, pets and extra person policies, and our hotelâ€™s cancellation policy.

Q. Are my credit card and personal details safe?

Yes, when you book your stay via the INNsight.com booking engine, we ensure to take every safeguard possible in transmitting and storing any personal data including SSL Encryption and other PCI compliant standards.

Q. How do I cancel or modify my reservation?

Simply follow the instructions to modify or cancel your reservation found in your Reservation Confirmation Email. Alternately, you can find the link to Cancel or Modify Your Reservation in the footer of the hotelâ€™s website. Please note, your reservation is not canceled until and unless you receive an email confirmation for the cancellation.

Q. How can I make a special request?

During the booking process you can enter any special requests into the "Special Requests" box on the "Your Details" page. Once you have received your booking confirmation, you can follow up with the hotel directly to confirm that your request can be met. You can find the hotelâ€™s contact details on the Contact Us page of our website.

Q. How do I know if my reservation is confirmed?

As soon as you have completed the booking process, a confirmation page will appear in your browser session. This page shows all of your reservation details, including the booking number and your PIN code, so you can access your confirmation online. We will also send you a confirmation email with all of your booking information.

Q. Can I make a reservation without a credit card?

No. Sorry, we require a major credit card to guarantee your room reservation. Please review the terms and cancellation policy before making your reservation.

Do you have on-site parking? Where is parking located? How much is parking?

Yes. We provide on-site secure gated parking to our hotel guest at the property. The parking fee is $10/night with unlimited in-and-out access.

On-site RV/Bus/Truck parking is also available with $10/space/night parking fee. Vehicles with power generator trailer cannot be parked behind gated parking area.

Do you have accessible rooms?

Yes, we have accessible suites. These suites include roll-in showers with support bars and chair.

What are the hours of the restaurant/bar/lounge?

We have BURROUGHS LOUNGE (open daily) and RED DUNN BAR/RESTAURANT located on-site. Please visit the WEBSITE for up-to-date hours.

Are pets allowed? Are there restrictions for weight, height or types?

Yes, we are a pet-friendly hotel and pets are welcomed at the hotel for a $50 PER NIGHT and 50 pound maximum. Pets cannot be left unattended at the hotel. You must stay with your pet at all times. Pets must be leashed or in a carrier at all times while outside of your room. A signed pet agreement will be required upon check-in. Do you have connecting rooms?

Yes, we have some connecting rooms at the hotel. You may make a request for connecting rooms when you reserve your rooms. However, they are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

Is my ID/passport and credit card/ debit card required at check-in?

We require presentation of a valid government-issued identification and credit card or debit card at the time of check-in.

What is your cancellation/deposit policy?

We require a credit card at the time of booking. You must cancel at least 48 hours prior to arrival (3pm local hotel time) to avoid a one night’s room and tax to your card. Please note that for special rates, packages and certain seasons, this policy is subject to change. Credit card deposit is required to check-in, we are unable to accept cash deposits under any circumstances.

What is the minimum age requirement to check-in to the room?

You must be 21 years of age with a valid ID to check in to the hotel.

Q.
I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?

You must go through the booking agent/website that you went through in order to change your reservation.

What forms of payment are accepted to pay for my room?

We accept all major credit cards/debit cards. When you check in to the hotel, we will hold the full room and tax total, plus $150 hold per stay for incidentals. The $150 incidental hold, if no charges incurred, will be released within 2-4 business days after check out. We do not accept checks and cash for room charges. Credit card deposit is required to check-in, and we are unable to accept cash deposits under any circumstances.

I want to ship a package to arrive before or during my stay. Do you allow this?

Yes! We’re happy to accept packages for guests. Please send the package to Hotel Trumbull and Porter Hotel Attention: (Guest’s Name),1331 Trumbull Ave Detroit 48216. If you’d like to let us know when the package is sent, we’ll be happy to make a note to keep an eye out for it. Please note that if the guest has already departed when the package arrives, we cannot hold it and will return the packages to the sender.
